This was a day trip we did while base camped in Battery Provincial.

The Fortress was much bigger than I expected. What a visit! The Fortress was France’s stronghold in the Maritimes. It was their spot to gain the riches of the fishing grounds. Problem for them was they pissed off too many others, including us Colonist’s. We were the first to attack them and they surrendered. As they say it “To the farmers.” Then England came in and took them over.

I knew they would bust me for bing a Colonist, so I was ready and busted them back. We all laughed and the history lesson continued. Well worth the run out there and see the place.
