June 1st-2nd, Day 2-3 Mid 50’s Cloudy

About a 9am departure from Walmart and over to Sobey’s for provisioning. Then onward to Hopewell Rocks and Ponderosa Pines Campground. Should’ve been a 3.5hr run, but took us 4.5hrs due to a screw up on location. We ended up driving through

Fundy National Park which is pretty cool. We setup at the campground and can see the Bay from the Campground. 2km from Hopewell Rocks so off we went after having some

lunch (and a beer..).

The pass into the Park is $10 per Adult and $25 per family, not bad especially since it’s for a 2 day pass. It was high tide when we got there, so tomorrow morning (9:30am) we’ll be there for the ‘walking tour’ (included in the fee) to walk at the base of the rocks.

Ponderosa Pines is a decent campground. Full hookups, electric/ water or nothing. Restrooms, showers

and dump station included in the fee. We’ll check the Laundry area tomorrow and update. Sits are either very tight (no dome out here.. in fact

awning would be tough) and the water/electric is on the wrong side meaning extra hose and power cord may be needed. I
will say check your power supply! I was going to hook
into my neighbors, but my ‘protector’ showed a

reverse polarity fault. Extra cord came out and mine is fine.

Oh yes, Low Tide is the time t be there! We saw High Tide on the 1st and a must see to know the difference for one’s self. Yet, Low Tide (we went back the

following day) is an absolute must! You can walk almost a mile up the beach and see so much more. There’s also a pair of Falcon’s nesting there (just to add add to the atmosphere of the place).

Winds were extremely high overnight. My mind says blowin’ 30, yet national says 20.. They weren’t there. Cloudly, rain on and off, temps in the high 40’s-low 50’s. Empty campground and the best time to be here. If this place was busy.. I wouldn’t wish to be here.
