June 3rd Day 4 Mid 40F Overcast/Misty rain

Left Ponderosa Pines around 9:30am. Heavily overcast and in the 40’s, still very windy. Stopped in Moncton to provision at Sobey’s. I do like Sobey’s, good fresh items, being veggie’s, baked, pastries, meats, well just about everything and you can refill water at the machine.

Drive to Sunset Watch Campground was pretty un-eventful.. thankfully! Quite a bit of wind on the start, yet finally did calm down. Mostly a TCH drive until the last portion which still was pretty good when it comes to side NS roads.

We’re now on the Norththumberland Strait. Plenty of wind again as we reached here, but has calmed down as evening came in. Gave us a chance to explore the beach at low tide.

June 5th Day 6 Mid 50’s (frost in the morning) Cloudy/rainy

This is my second day of work on the road. Both days have been cool and fairly gray with today being mostly drizzle. Yesterday we midget some spots of sun which gave us some more time to explore the beach here. Oyster’s everywhere! You like Mussel’s plentiful! Hearing the fishing is not here yet as the Mackerel have not come in. Hope to give it a go tomorrow. Temps have been in the mid 40F, a little cooler than typical, but still seems about right. Bring on the Sunshine please! Tatamagouche is a pretty cool little town. Nice Brewery in town and food shopping not bad (Foodland). NSLC also (those like minded). The campground is good.. mostly seasonal’s here and grassy spots. Problem being with all the rain, mucky.. Picnic tables, fire rings and good space between each. Since this is early season, not bad. Also due to the

majority of the campground being seasonal, weekdays are pretty quite and restroom/bath house is not crowded. Both are ‘dated’ yet pretty well kept. I have a nice view of the water, but again, when busy, not so much.. I’m backed up to the trees so I do get a break for any wind (unlike Ponderosa Pines). Still no raising the Dome due to wind (and the mud..). This place has become known to ‘us’ as the Mud-Pit.
